I am thrilled to share that I have successfully completed my 12-week undergraduate Facilities Operations internship with New York Presbyterian. First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at NYP who made this journey possible. From the very beginning, the recruitment and onboarding process was seamless, thanks to Mike M. Medina, MBA, SHRM-CP, and Denise Downs who ensured I felt welcomed and prepared to dive into this valuable experience.Thank you to Amy Nunziata for this fantastic opportunity. Your trust and support have been instrumental in shaping my growth during this internship.I'd like to extend a special shout-out to Kevin Mannle, Tim Smyth, and the rest of the Facilities operation management team at Weill Cornell for their exemplary leadership and expertise. Your guidance has not only enhanced my skills but also inspired me to aim for excellence in all that I do.Moreover, I'm honored to have been one of the inaugural interns from SUNY Maritime alongside Andreina De La Cruz and CHARAE SANDERLIN. This institution has provided me with a solid foundation, and I'm excited to carry forward the lessons and experiences gained during my time at NYP into the next chapter of my academic and professional journey.Thank you again to everyone who played a part in making this internship such a rewarding and enriching experience. I look forward to staying connected and continuing to learn and grow in this dynamic field.#NewYorkPresbyterian #InternshipExperience #SUNYMaritime #CareerGrowth #Gratitude

You only get one chance to complete your dietetic internship! Make the most of the experience by choosing rotation sites that align with your goals and dreams. In traditional internships, you are handed your schedule with no say over your experience and rotation sites. With KBDI, you get to interview your potential preceptors and make sure the projects and tasks align with the experience you want to gain.Although it can be challenging to reach out to preceptors, it is worth it!Swipe through our tips on way to reach out to potential preceptors. The biggest mistake most interns make is only reaching out to a site one time. They don't want to bother potential preceptors and automatically assume that no response is a "No". Stay persistent and reach out multiple times! It's likely your email was missed and they forgot to respond.Although it can take effort and time to secure preceptors, most distance dietetic interns report higher satisfaction with their rotation experiences.#rdn #dietitian #dieteticinternship

There is just one thing that made our college life different No, it's not the field, the hard work, the goals. It's the exposure While eating at McDonald's a friend just said- " Yaar maine na utna explore nhi kiya inn 3 saalo mein"And it struck us exactly at that moment. It doesn't matter which college you got into but rather what you explore in depth there. While the institution's brand helps in terms of cohort and infrastructure, it is only the first step in a far longer journey.Your internships, clubs, societies, cold interactions and events where you get to meet people matter a lot.But this is not enough. The depth of your experiences is equally important; the ability to put in your 200% without thinking about the reward is crucial in this transactional and eternally distracted world. It simply means you love what you are doing. What was the place/person/event that gave you exposure in college?PS: Are we counting solo travel as exposure? PSS: Yes we areImage: Haridwar on 2 Oct'23, 6:34PM ( from my first solo trip)
