SummaryAs an HR Intern, you will gain hands-on work experience at an exciting, fast-paced youth development organization as we prepare for the launch of our summer camp programs. You will work under the guidance of the Manager of Talent Partnerships and Initiatives to gain knowledge in the business of high volume recruitment, management of talent partnerships, and assist with screening applicants, assessing applicant eligibility, scheduling interviews, placing successful candidates at sites and issuing offer letters. A special focus will be on the recruitment and placement of college students and SYEP participants.

Essential Job Functions
Support organizational goals and objectives as they relate to community partnerships & employee engagement
Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
Prepare and send out communication to employees via email
Adhere to New York Edge policies and procedures
Adhere to personal data privacy regulations
Prepare a report on a weekly basis for the tasks completed or in progress
Required Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Detailed oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to maturely handle sensitive and confidential information
Ability to deliver New York Edge values and uphold customer service standards
Clear and friendly phone manner
Computer literate - especially Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Google Workspace
Ability to multi-task in a pressurized environment
Good communication skills both verbally and in written
An interest or passion for youth development
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Some College Preferred
Some experience working in a professional office setting; experience working in recruitment is preferred but not required
