Giants Abyss Normal and Hard (GAN & GAH) Guide - Best Teams, Monsters & Runes (1)

Welcome to the Beginners Guide for Giants Abyss floors for Normal and Hard (GAN & GAH) in Summoners War! In this guide, we'll break down the three stages of Abyss teams: from your initial starter team to a faster team, and ultimately, speed teams.

Once you've gone through this guide, you'll have a clear understanding of which units to build based on your current game stage. Our main goal here is to achieve a 100% success rate with your GAN and GAH team, with an average runtime of around ~60-90 seconds. By doing this efficiently, you'll be able to collect those intangible runes much more efficiently.

Warning: This dungeons are very difficult and are not early game friendly. We recommend you pick 1 from either Giants Abyss, Dragons Abyss, or Necropolis Abyss. Once you're able to make one strong team, continue farming B10 floors to farm runes more efficiently. You can find the B10 guides below. If you are struggling in the dungeons or want to make faster progress we recommend you check out our Max Efficiency Progression Guide. It maps out the entire gameplay step-by-step from start to finish so you'll always know what to work on next.

Why Farming GAN & GAH is Important

Giant’s Abyss, should be completed once you've successfully tackled all the B10 dungeons in Summoners War. Why? Because Intangible runes are only available at the Abyss floors.

What makes intangible runes important? Intangible runes allows you to complete any set. So if you have a 3 piece Vio set and get a good Intangible you can now use it as a Violent Rune to complete the set.

This also applies to 2 sets so think carefully which sets to complete to get the most out of this unique rune!

Now, here's the deal: If you're a free-to-play player or spend around $30-$100 monthly on in-game packs, focus on building a team with the highest success rate. Why? Because this way, you'll maximize the number of runes you get for your hard-earned energy and crystals.

But hey, if you buy multiple packs each month or have limited time to play, then speed becomes a more critical factor. Speeding up your runs will help you get more rune drops, boosting your progress in no time.

Advance Guides

Early-Beginner Team

Who should build this kind of team: If you can't farm GAN or GAH automatically with a success rate above 90%, then this starter team is perfect for you.

If you already have a starter team that can reliably farm this content, skip ahead to the Fast Team or Speed Team sections.

Here are the minimum stats and requirements you need:

  • HP: 19k+ for Non-Wind Monsters and 17k+ for Wind Monsters.

  • Accuracy: Aim for 35% if possible (it's the cap for accuracy for GAH and boosts success rate).

  • Speed: At least 170+ for essential debuffers and healers.

Most of your team should be Rage/Blade as you'll want to deal as much damage as possible.

To get the rune requirements, it's best to farm the B10 dungeons until your monsters meet the minimum requirements listed above.

Also, remember to fully skill up all your monsters. This is crucial to boost your success rate and efficiently farm Giants Abyss Normal and Hard. So, go ahead and build this team to conquer the giants!
